Abstract: RULE 17AC3-1(A) REQUIRES TRANSFER AGENTS DESIRING TO WITHDRAW FROM REGISTRATION AS TRANSFER AGENTS TO FILE FORM TA-W WITH THE COMMISSION. THE RULE AND THE FORM PROVIDE NECESSARY WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURES. THE COMMISSION USES THE INFORMATION ON FORM TA-W TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE APPLICATION FOR WITHDRAWAL SHOULD BE GRANTED.
