We are revising
our previous terms of clearance in response to FMCS recent
submission. Specifically, the agency may require the submissio of
form LM-7 and LM-8 quarterly. Although FMCS's justification of the
need for quarterly reporting for 12 month grants is persuasive, it
is not clear that quarterly reporting for longer a grants is not
unnecessarily burdensome. Therefore, in the next submission, the
agen shall examine whether it is feasible to require either 1)
quarterly reporting for the first year of each grant and semiannual
reporting thereafter, or 2) quarterly reporting for grants of 12
months or less and semiannual reporting for grants of more than 12
months. In addition, the agency shall add the burden disclosure
statement required by 5 CFR 1320.21 (b), when the forms are next
reprinted.
