Abstract: RESPONDENTS (50 STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, FIVE TERRITORIES, AN TWO RIVER BASIN COMMISSIONS) SUBMIT BIENNIAL REPORTS AND ANNUAL UPDATE (OR CERTIFICATIONS) CONTAINING WATER QUALITY DATA. THESE REPORTS PROVIDE THE PRINCIPAL INFORMATION SOURCE FOR ASSESSING NATIONWIDE WATER RESOURCES AND FOR PERFORMING WATER QUALITY ANALYSES REQUIRED IN BIENNIAL REPORTS TO CONGRESS.
