Abstract: SURVEY IS THE ONLY SOURCE OF DATA ONE CURRENT COTTON GINNINGS. DATA A VITAL TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA) IN PREPARING MONTHL COTTON PRODUCTION FORECASTS, CLASSIFICATION, AND PRODUCTION COST ESTIMATES. DATA ARE USED BY THE ENTIRE COTTON INDUSTRY AND ARE VITAL PROVIDING FOR A STABLE MARKET. THE RESPONDENTS ARE COTTON GINNERS.
