IT IS USED BY THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO DETERMINE MOTOR CARRIER COMPLIANCE STATUS AND DRIVER COMPLIANCE WITH THE MAXIMUM TIME LIMITATIONS REQUIRE BY 49 CFR 395.3 AND BY THE MOTOR CARRIERS TO CONTROL DRIVER'S HOURS OF SERVICE.
