if changes are made to the Notice of Funding Availabili for the
Drug Elimination Grant program that affect the paperwork required,
HUD must submit the changes to OMB for review. OMB would be happy
to work with HUD to make the process as expeditious as possible.
OMB has approved this information collection request for one year
to allow HUD to gain experience in this new program.

HOUSING OWNERS MUST APPLY FOR GRANT
FUNDS TO USE IN ELIMINATING DRUG-RELATED CRIME IN LOW-INCOME
HOUSING. THE APPLICATION PROCESS INCLUDES DEVELOPING A PLAN,
SEEKING TENANT COMMENTS, CERTIFYING HUD COMPLIANCE WITH HUD
REQUIREMENTS, AND PROVIDING A COMPREHENSIVE DRUG PREVENTION
PROGRAM.
