Abstract: TO ENSURE THAT ALL ADJUSTMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE AND CLAIMS SUBMITTED BEFORE CONTRACT CLOSEOUT, BUILDING SERVICE CONTRACTORS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A RELEASE OF CLAIMS BEFORE FINAL PAYMENT. USE OF GSA FORM 1142 STANDARDIZES INFORMATION AND ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR GSA REGIONS OR CONTRACTORS TO PREPARE THEIR OWN RELEASE.
