Abstract: INFORMATION IS REQUIRED TO IDENTIFY THE TYPE OF MEAL PRODUCTION SYSTEM USED BY SCHOOL DISTRICTS. THIS INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO SELECT A STRATIFIED SAMPLE OF SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO BE INVOLVED IN THE STUDY OF SCHOOL MEAL COSTS. PROPOSED DATA COLLECTION IS A TELEPHONE SURVEY OF FOOD SERVICE DIRECTORS IN 985 SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
