Abstract: SECTIONS 4 AND 11 OF THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH ACT (P.L. 79-396), AS AMENDED, AUTHORIZE FUNDING FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM (NSLP). P.L. 101-147, SECTION 17A, AMENDS THE NSLP TO ALLOW SCHOOLS OPERATING AFTERSCHOOL CARE PROGRAMS SINCE MAY 15, 1989, TO CLAIM FEDERAL REIMBURSEMENT FOR MEAL SUPPLEMENTS THROUGH THE NSLP.
