Terms of Clearance: Approved as amended by ED's memoranda to OMB of 6/25/93, 6/29/93, and 7/1/93. Because ED has introduced the paper reapplication, a burden decrease has been registered along with the burden adjustments. -- ED has agreed that students providing the certification regarding loan limits, which has been moved from this form to the SAR (OMB #1840 0132), shall receive information about the level of the loan limits through a readily available source, such as in the SAR instructions. -- ED has agreed to develop an operations assessment for the 1994-95 FAFSA which will be conducted during the time this form is in use. Th assessment will allow ED to make further refinements to the FAFSA-SAR process in future years, and shall include mechanisms to obtain views of students and parents who complete the forms and aid officers who process the forms (e.g., separate surveys, focus groups). ED shall submit a plan for this assessment to OMB as soon as possible, but not later than September 30, 1993.
