Abstract: EPA REQUIRES OWNER/OPERATORS OF FOSSIL FUEL-FIRED STEAM GENERATORS TO MONITOR SO2, NOX, AND PARTICULAR EMISSIONS AND TO SUBMIT EMISSIONS DATA TO THE AGENCY QUARTERLY. IF EXCESS EMISSIONS OCCURRED THE PREVIO QUARTER, THE SOURCE MUST IDENTIFY THE CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN. THE AGENCY USES THIS DATA TO DETERMINE IF UNITS SUBJECT TO SUBPART D REMAIN IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE STANDARD.
