Abstract: RULE 12D2-1, WHICH WAS ADOPTED IN 1935, REQUIRES THAT NATIONAL SECURITIES EXCHANGES SEND WRITTEN NOTICES TO THE COMMISSION OF ALL TRADING SUSPENSIONS. THE NOTICES PROVIDE THE COMMISSION WITH NECESSAR INFORMATION TO ENABLE IT TO ASSURE THAT THE SUSPENSION HAS BEEN CARRIE OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES OF THE EXCHANGE AND THAT THE TRADING SUSPENSION WAS PROPER.
