In accordance
with the Paperwork Reduction Act and 5 CFR 1320, this information
collection (0583-0090) is approved for six months. Should the
agency choose to submit this collection at that time, it shall
include a more thorough justification of each time. For instance, a
detailed description of what is involved in submission of a Partial
Quality Control program and how FSIS evaluates such a program needs
to be included. It is also unclear what the agency is seeking in
terms of approval for inflating carcases, livestock and poultry for
research, or removal of contamination with fecal material. This
approval is intended to reinstate existing approvals but not to
approv those information collections associated with recent
rulemakings and policy statements concerning changes to these three
regulatoions. Those changes must be submitted separatrly in
accordance with 3504(h) of the PRA.
