Approved as amended by DOL's 6/3/94 memorandum to OMB. As DOL has agreed, this approval extends only for Wave 1 of the survey. DOL will prepare a report indicating findings from Wave 1, and will submit a justification to continue with Wave 2 and the Environmental Survey of high-performance workplaces along with that report; the burden from these two parts of the survey will also be recorded at that time. DOL Wave 2 justification shall explain in greater detail how the results o this study would be used to inform the development of the Administrati skill standards and school-to-work initiatives.

THE STUDY WILL IDENTIFY WORKPLACE BEHAVIORS THAT ARE GENERALIZABLE ACROSS MOST OCCUPATIONS IN THE NATION. ONCE IDENTIFIED, THE BEHAVIORS WILL FORM THE FOUNDATION FOR WORKPLACE ASSESSMENTS, CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT, AND CAREER SELECTION AND TRAINING.
