Approved as amended by ED's memoranda to OMB of 6/15/94, 6/24/94, 7/8/94, 7/12/94, 7/20/94, and 7/25/94. One-year clearance is granted allow for implementation of this new Application for Institutional Eligibility and Certification to Participate in HEA, Title IV programs the next submission of this form shall request more detail about the satisfactory progress of students in institutions submitting this application, to conform with final regulations expected to be ineffect at that time. ED has also agreed to meet the followingconditions: -- ED shall assess how IPEDS can be modified so that IPEDS data can be used to assess school performance in determining eligibility and certification. ED shall report on progress in this area with the next submission of this form for clearance. -- ED will continue efforts to formalize an automated version of this form that institutions would be able to submit via Internet. ED shall introduce this delivery method next year, or explain why this is not feasible and provide a timetable for completion with the next submissi for clearance. -- The burden for this package primarily reflects burden involved in complying with regulatory requirements for maintaining eligibility to participate in Title IV. ED shall continue all efforts to minimize institutional burden in the implementation of the information collecti provisions in the eligibility regulations.
