Abstract: UNDER SECTION 5 OF THE SECURITIES EXCHANGE ACT OF 1934, THE COMMISSION REQUIRES SECURITIES EXCHANGES TO REGISTER UNDER SECTION 6 OF THAT ACT. SECTION 6 AND RULE 6A-2 THEREUNDER REQUIRE EXCHANGES TO UPDATE THIS REGISTRATION SO THAT THE COMMISSION CAN DETERMINE WHETHER AN EXCHANGE CAN CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF THE ACT.
