Abstract: TO PROVIDE MIDYEAR AND ADVANCE YEAR-END COUNTS OF THE NUMBER OF INMATES IN STATE AND FEDERAL PRISONS. THESE DATA WILL FORM THE BASIS FOR HISTORICAL TREND ANALYSES.
