Abstract: The Secretary of Agriculture is required by law to achieve a range of objectives with respect to maintaining market prices for raw and refined sugar, controlling domestic and imported supplies, and meeting the international obligations of the United States. Under these circumstances, it is necessary for the Secretary to collect comprehensive information on the activities of the principal domestic participants in the U.S. sugar market.
