clearance includes PHS' overall data consolidation plans (in
particular the new MEP), if PHS significantly changes course in its
data consolidation or makes substantive changes to this collection,
it must resubmit the strategy for public consideration and PRA
review; and 2) PHS staff will submit to OMB up-to-date estimates of
the costs for NMES-3 in FY 1996. It is OMB's understanding that
ajustments to these estimates have been made since the FY 1996
Congressional Justification.

This household survey will produce
national estimates for health care use and expenditures and health
insurance coverage. Respondents consist of persons living in a
nationally representative subsample of households that participated
in the 1995 National Health Inverview Survey (NHIS).
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
