with the PRA and 5 CFR 1320, this collection is app roved for one
year, through October 1996. The ICR indicates that the information
requested will be collected once, and that the U .S. has made no
commitment to continue the project beyond this pe riod. DOC also
indicates that continuation of the questionnaire to include
subsequent years is doubtful pending consideration in the World
Trade Organization to adopt a similar project. If this ICR is
resubmitted, the burden on State government's to supply t he
requested information should be checked and verified.

The Organization for Economic
Cooperation and Development (OECD) is a member international
organization which promotes economic and industrial growth. U.S.
participation in the OECD Industrial Subsidies Database project
requires U.S. information on state/federal support to manufacturing
from 1989-93. The U.S. will receive access to information submitted
by other member countries.
