This proposed
revision is disapproved, however, the existing clearance approved
prior the effective date of the 1995 amendments to the PRA remains
in force, with all terms and conditions until September 1998. OMB
will work with the Census Bureau to develop plans covering new
research activities that are compatible with the policies of the
1995 amendments.

This research will be used by the
Census Bureau and survey sponsors to improve questionnaires and
procedures, reduce respondent burden, and ultimately increase the
quality of data collected in the Census Bureau surveys and
censuses.
