work with the states to ensure that the use of ad hoc surveys will
be discontinued as a result of this package. BLS shall submit an
Inventory Correction Worksheet within one month after the data are
tabulated in the summer of 1997 addressing use of electronic
methods. BLS shall include in the burden statement on the form the
reasons why the burden estimate varies from 30 minutes to 4
hours.

The OES survey is a Federal/State
sample survey of employment by occupation of non-farm
establishments that is used to produce data on current occupational
employment and wages. The survey is a component in the development
of employment and training programs and occupational information
systems.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
