VIBRIO species are naturally occuring
marine bacteria and an important cause of seafoodborne illnesses.
Data collected and study results will be shared with health
officials and representatives of the Interstate Shellfish
Sanitation Conference and National Fisheries Institute. The FDA has
requested these data to identify interventions that may reduce the
burden of seafoodborne vibriosis.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
