Abstract: Clean Air Act requires EPA to set specifications for detergents and regulate to assure effective detergent is used in all gasoline in the U.S. Recordkeeping and reporting required to assure industry and EPA can be sure what amount of what detergent is needed for particular batch of gasoline. Certification testing for detergent effectiveness.
