This collection
is approved for 8 months only. When it is resubmitteed for regular
clearence USAID must address the following issues:The burden
estimates should be revised for the: Utilization of
S/SBE,Biographical Data, Int'l Travel Approval Not ification, and
the Performance and Progress Reports given the rev isions to AIDAR
and new program requirements. An analysis of the necessity of the
Int'l Travel Approval Notification by taking a sample of
contractors on how they presently comply (including the costs
incurred by the contractors to comply with the request.) If the
information is still deemed to be necessary, USAID needs to provide
a detailed explanation as to why its necessary for the mission
offices and if there is a less burdensome way for the info to be
collected. And, a de-consolidation of the Physical Qualification
Assessment and the Performance and Progress report back to their
original OMB approval numbers.

The AIDAR implements the Federal
Acquisition Regulation. AIDAR information collection elements are
necessary to determine contractor responsibility and for prudent
management and administration of public funds under USAID
contracts.
