Abstract: Section 302 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to- Know Act (EPCRA) requires facilities that the extremely hazardous substances above the threshold planning quantity to notify and coordinate with state and local prepredness entities. Secion 304 requires facilities to immediately notify state and local entities in the event of accident releases of hazardous chemicals. Written follow-up notice is also required.
