In response to the rise of
tuberculosis incidence among children in recent years, a workshop
on TB and children was held in August 1994. Recommendations
included the need for further research concerning the epidemiology
of TB in children, including children coinfected with HIV. The
study responds to that recommendation.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
