This project is a case control study
of the risk factors for TB infections among children. It was
approved by OMB and began this phase of data collection in March
1997. Tuberculosis morbidity, manifested as numbers of reported
cases, has declined since this project was started. An extension
period to December 1998 is required so that an adequate number of
children can be enrolled at both sites.
