This collection
will combine a number of existing FCC forms into an electronic
format that will allow applicants for various radio services to
apply electronically. The FCC should continue to work on developing
an electronic method of payment using the FCC 159. The electronic
form should contain guidance to the applicant that not all of the
certification items may apply to them. The instructions that
accompany the electronic FCC 900 should also clearly establish the
method of payment and should also provide a more specific cite of
the Telecommunications Act for the authority the FCC has to collect
this information and that providing this information is necessary
to be issued a license. The FCC will ensure that the requirements
of the Debt Collection Improvement Act are met, including providing
the appropriate information on the reason the TIN is being
collected and protecting/redacting this information as
necessary.
