Approved, per discussion with BLS on 1/10/97 based on the following conditions: 1) BLS will notify the Women's Bureau (WB) about the survey prior to this round. In future rounds, BLS shall coordinate with the WB and the Pension Welfare Benefits Administration. 2) BLS will develop a test protocol that will be submitted and resolved within this clearance. This protocol will involve testing the entire instrument with a sufficient number of respondents to ensure that the results of the cognitive test of the new transfer section are present when the new section is asked in the context of the entire interview. Any changes in burden, survey procedures, or survey content that result from this testing may be made through an addendum to this clearance package and accompanying Inventory Correction Worksheet. 3) BLS will reassess the representativeness of the sample through a study prior to the next round and prior to the release of data from this round, unless BLS has current evidence to attest to the sample. 4) BLS shall validate specific pension and transfer questions in the survey prior to the release of data from this round.
