Abstract: The attached item addressed provisions in the Telecommunications Act of 1996 that necessitate changes to the rules for formal complaints filed against common carriers. Information filed pursuant to 47 CFR 1.720 et seq., is provided either with or in response to a formal complaint to determine whether there has been a violation of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, or the Commission's rules. Affected respondents are complainants and defendant common carriers.
