Only Alaska residents are allowed to
take fish and wildlife on public lands for subsistence purposes.
Information on the hunter, qualified subsistence users, animals
harvested, location, and sex is needed by the Federal Subsistence
Board to assist them in making recommendations on subsistence use.
The data collected is used to determine priorities for subsistence
among rural residents.
