Approved; DOL
addendum of 6/25/97. Note: DOL withdrew the request for a blanket
exemption of the expiration date. Requests will be made on a case
by case basis. We have approved this generic clearance package for
customer satisfaction surveys performed by regulatory agencies
within the Department of Labor, with the following conditions: 1)
As it did under the generic package for customer satisfaction
surveys that OMB approved on January 5, 1994, DOL will send a copy
of each collection to OMB for review prior to initiation of each
project. OMB has 10 working days to respond to the agency request.
2) It is our understanding that collections under this generic
clearance will not supplement regular instruments used to assess
compliance levels, costs, resource commitments or evaluation. 3) To
the extent practicable, surveys approved under this package will
collect statistically valid information. DOL should include the
phone number of the BLS staff member who reviewed each package when
submitting it to OMB.
