Records are used in enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act (7 U.S.C. 2131-2157). Record data is used to ensure that regulated facilities are in compliance with the Act and regulations and standards promulgated under the authority of the Act. This proposed rule would place into the regulations uniform perimeter fencing requirements. There is the opportunity for a facility to request a variance from the perimeter fence requirements.
