permission to strip off existing outdated fee information and use
the FCC 159 as the primary fee collection instrument. The FCC also
has permission to delete the expiration date, but shall ensure that
a revision date is used. OMB supports FCC's efforts to ensure broad
access to this form using the internet and its efforts to promote
electronic commerce with appropriate security safeguards. Finally,
the FCC shall ensure that TIN information provided is protected
from inadvertant release to the public and from misuse by agency or
contractor personnel.

This form is required for payment of
regulatory fees and for use when paying for multiple filings with a
single payment instrument or when paying by credit card. The forms
require specific information to track payment history and to
facilitate the efficient and expeditious processing of collections
by a lockbox bank. The forms have been revised to include taxpayer
identification number, which is used for anyone who requests
services from the agency.
