Abstract: Rule 206(4)-3 under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 imposes restrictions on cash payments for client solicitations and imposes certain recordkeeping and disclosure requirements on investment advisers using the rule. The information collection and disclosure requirements in the rule permit the Commission's inspection staff to monitor the activities of investment advisers and protect investors.
