collection (Request for a new OMB Control Number)
The Department must enforce energy
efficiency standards specified by statute and must require that
manufacturers label electric motors to show their energy and
certify that such motors meet specified energy efficiency
standards. (42 U.S.C. 6313(b), 6315, and 6316) The requests for
information are necessary for the Department to meet its
enforcement responsibilities and to implement the statutory
labeling and certification requirements.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
