This information
collection includes a number of forms which were in use without
approval. NARA should use the clearance period to carefully
re-review these forms, particularly the Privacy Act notices, to
ensure they are necessary and appropriate to the program of the
Personnel Records Center. NARA should, in the mean time, estimate
the burden associated with these new forms and submit a correction
worksheet for the program change associated with the forms. In
addition, NARA should consider whether it would be more appropriate
to separate the SF 180 into a separate clearance package since it
is a form used not just by NARA but by a number of Federal agencies
which have custody of military personnel or veterans records.
