The public notice sets forth
procedural requirements and policies relating to the Commission's
processing Bell Operating Company applications to provide
in-region, interLATA services pursuant to section 271 of the
Communications Act of 1934, as amended. All of the requirements are
used to ensure that BOCs have complied with their obligations under
the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, before being authorized
to provide in-region, interLATA services pursuant to section
271.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
