Terms of Clearance: Approved as amended by ED's memos and revisions of 10/19/98 and 10/20/98. In addition, following the availability of guidance on aggregation/tabulation of data elements with the new race/ethnicity categories, ED will as soon as practical proivde respondents with the option to report using the new categories. Further, consistent with the 10/20 memo, ED will make the necessary adjustments to the collection procedures in the next submission of this approval request so that ED can accept electronic signatures.

Abstract: The CCD Surveys collect data annually from State education agencies about students and staff involved in the public elementary and secondary education system: Membership; number of graduates and dropouts; and staff employed in instruction, administration, and support. The surveys also collect information about school and agency characteristics and revenues and expenditures for public elementary and secondary education.
