On February 6, 1998, the Commission
released a Report and Order, FCC-98-20, in CS Docket No. 97-151. In
this Report and Order, the Commission adopts rules implementing
section 703 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 relating to pole
attachments. Section 703 requires the Commission to prescribe
regulations to govern the charges for pole attachments used by
telecommunications carriers to provide telecommunications
services.
