Abstract: The TVA was charged by an act of Congress in 1933 to improve the navigability of the Tennessee River and to provide for the agricultural and industrial development of the valley. To accomplish its mission, TVA needs to periodically gather data concerning location, condition, and other information on river terminals for use in marketing their services to industrial clients.
