Terms of Clearance: Approved consistent with ED's memo to OMB of 3/3/99. In addition, the following terms of clearance apply: 1) Consistent with the 3/3 memo, ED will phase out the use of the OPE-ID by the next FISAP cycle. 2) ED will ensure that in redesging the NSLDS, an effort is made to coordinate with the data needs on the FISAP so that burden can be reduced to the maximum extent possible. 3) ED will provide to OMB, prior to implementing this FISAP cycle, a response to the comment from San Jose State University. If a change is necessitated to the form as a result of this comment, ED will submit the change to OMB as a proposed addendum to this package. 4) OMB appreciates ED's efforts to transition off the TIV WAN in favor of a web-based system.
