Under the Recreation Fee Demonstration
Program authorized by Congress, the Forest Service wants to
adequately respond to the challenge of charging fees for recreation
services to recover costs associated with recreation services and
to ensure that the visitor has a satisfactory experience and that
we are meeting the visitor's needs. With the goal of increasing
efficiency, increasing public support, providing responsive
stewardship of our natural resources, achieving quality standards,
and yielding additional financial resources, it is necessary to
make sure we fully understand and orient our programs to existing
and future..
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
