BLM issues trust patents to qualified
Indians who apply for allotments on public lands or public domain
lands within national forests. BLM uses the information described
in the regulations at 43 CFR 2530 to: (1) Process applications for
allotments and patents, (2) determine the qualifications of
individual Indians to hold allotments and patents, (3) process
applications for extensions of time to file various information,
and (4) notify applicants of the need for additional data or for
public notification of proposed approval of the
application.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
