High levels of exposure to stressful life experiences put women at increased risk for adverse reproductive outcomes, especially preterm delivery and very low birth weight. The purpose of this study is to examine existing stress and stressful life events instruments for use in Black women of reproductive age. This study will include 154 women who live in Atlanta. Half of these women will be pregnant.
