This ICR is
approved pursuant to 5 CFR 1320. As a condition of approval, FTA
(working with OST) shall evaluate the burden estimates contained in
this submission, consistent with DOT-wide guidelines to be
developed in conjuction with OST and the other operating
administrations, and report the results of the eval- uation with
any reestimates of burden by October 1, 2000. A comparison of FAA
and FTA burden estimates has been made, indicating that FTA should
consider the burden of "alcohol testing procedures" comparable to
FAA's estimates. We will provide the comparable data to the DOT
Clearance Officer to share with FTA staff.
