The purpose of this study is to assess the participating truck drivers' willingness to use truck stop fitness facilities and evaluate their overall experience with the new truck stop gyms. It will also encourage truck stops to provide such facilities. Truck driving, particularly long haul truck driving, is sedentary in nature and provides few opportunities for exercise. Exercise has been shown to combat fatigue, reduce stress, improve alert- ness, and enhance sleep. Thus, the driver will be more rested and alert for the next day of driving.
