The Quote Rule currently requires each
broke-dealer to communicate to its exchange or association its best
bids, best offers and quotation sizes for subject securities, and
obligates each exchange or association to make available to
quotation vendors for dissemination to the public the best bid,
best offer, and aggregatae quotation size for each subject
security. The proposed amendment to the Quote Rule would require
markets to establish procedures for collecting their members' bids,
offers, and quotation sizes for options traded on a national
securities exchange or an automated facility of a registered
national etc.
