The Debt Collection Improvement Act of
1996 requires that agencies collect taxpayer identification numbers
(TINs) from individuals who do business with the governmnt,
including con- tractors and recipients of credit, licenses,
permits, and benefits. TINs will be used by the Department of
Treasury in electronic funds transfer and used to collect
delinquent accounts of NRC licensees and applicants.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
